USE THIS LINK TO LOGIN!

We are going to start today by trying out a little blogging. Remember, a blog entry is like both a newspaper discussion and a discussion wrapped into one. I will ask a question or make some topic request and then ask you to write an entry about that topic. The point of this is to get you writing and thinking about India and current events AND discussing the issues with your fellow scholars.

Here is the process I’d like you to follow to make the perfect blog entry:

Read the “Rules for Blogging” document listed on this page. Remember that you need a minimum of two links and 100 words in your blog entry.

After you post your entry, I will approve appropriate ones for public consumption.

Comment on a minimum of three other class blog posts. Your comments should be substantial, including questions and substantive comments. I will find the ten best comments and highlight them in class.

For this first assignment, I’d like to reward creative, hard work.

The three best initial posts (according to me ) will receive full credit PLUS extra.

The three best comments (according to me ) will receive full credit PLUS extra.

The two posts that inspire the best discussion (according to me ) will receive full credit PLUS extra.

Here is the topic:

I’d like to find current going-ons related to Indian geography OR Indian religion (Buddhism, Hinduism OR Sikh).

I am happy to help, but a lot of this is researching and finding out information on your own. Look for something that interests you… it might also interest your classmates!
