motherganges. The Ganges River is the main river in India. The people of India use this river for many things. The Ganges River which is also known as “mother Ganges”. The Ganges River is extremely polluted. When Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was ruling he layed down an action plan to try to clean the river and make it less polluted. Cleaning the Ganges River would benifit everyone .But instead of the river being cleaned they have been spending money on plans that have not even been succsessful. The administration has accepted the program trying to clean the Ganges River and now has delayed the plan to a later time. cleaning motherganges Prime minister manmohan singh was thanked by a social activist group for an athority to respond to the increasing pollution in the Ganges. The activists were in the save Ganga movement. The autority would innclude integrating activities relating to the use of water, solving pollution problems, and the maintenance of flowing water and river conservation.
Solving the pollution problems of the Ganges river is a very good idea and will solve a lot of the health problems associated with it.
I agree that solving the pollution problems is great. This river is very sacred and shouldnt be polluted. Alot of diseased would be cleared up to.
The Ganges River is very polluted mainly from all of the human waste. That is bad for the people and the whole ecosystem. It is a good idea for them to do whatever they have to to clean it.
Why have they delayed the plan to clean the Ganges if they have already accepted it? I agree that cleaning the extremely polluted river will improve the health of people and all life in that region, but putting the cleaning process off longer will not help anything.
I don’t know about anyone else but in my research, I have found nothing but “pollution is bad! pollution is bad! it’s happening in India and nothings being done!” So, it is good to finally hear that something is being done about the pollution problem. (got a little psycho with the bold there didn’t ya??? just kidding =) )
I agree with everything Kaitlyn said. If they do that then there will be less diseases and pollution in the river.
I agree, it will be good for the people if they do that becaus3 the river will be kind of clean
they should actually put the money into plans that will actually make the mother ganges cleaner because it is very polluted.

Cleaning up the Ganges river would be a benefit to everyone in India especially the Hindu since it is their “sacred” river. I don’t understand why the government has delayed this, they should make cleaning the Ganges river a priority instead of just another thing on their to do list. This could help prevent many diseases that are being caused by the pollution in the river,many health issues would be resolved.

i agree with what a lot of the other people said. I’m glad that the government and people are going to do whatever they have to to get that river clean especially if the people there drink this water and use this water to bathe. i think cleaning this water will cure a lot of health problems.

I think cleaning the river should be top priority. It’s a huge deal for the environment, and the people. The pollution in the water will soon kill off everything if they don’t solve it now.

No they just need to find another place to put there waste. and ya we don’t have the money right now with the economy…… But we should be concerned with it, all of the pollution. where do you think it all goes. Into the ocean not just effecting them but everyone and everything in the ocean. Who cares if they don’t help us, the right thing to do is to help them.
