The Hindu
The Scientist in India are protesting against the harnessing of one of the tributary of the Hindu’s sacred river. The scientist were protesting by fasting or their “hunger strike”. And one of the following scientist that was fasting came very close to dying on his 38th day of fasting, so the work on a electric dam in the Himalayas was stopped. As soon as the Indian government agreed to quicken the inquiry into how the electricity couldprocess with no water included because the free flowing of the Ganges river is an important to the sacredness of it. Because of this one of the people involved in protesting against the harnessing had stopped fasting since the government did this. Now the Pala project which is one of the 100 major dams which is now going under constuction by the countries India, Nepal, Pakistan and Bhutan. Together are going to make 150,000MW which would help support the countries in need of electric power. But many argue that these plans with the dams could affect the economy and move thousands of people out of their homes, it could also contribute to global warming effect in the Himalayas that are already heavily impacted by it. But still all those countries have been preparing for years for dam construction . Many Hindus are against this because this would affect the natural route sacred river the Ganges.

The battle over Hindu History
Many people in India are being murdered for the mistakes of the Hinduism history for example when the Hindus had said there was a Hindutemple that was built over with the Babir Masjidand Hindus started saying “Death to the Muslims” because they had built over their temple and many went into riots about it and tried to destroy the mosque and many died. Now a Hindu priest does his rituals there. So many Hindus think it is so important for their children to the right stories of the Hindu religion and not what they are taught in school text books. In this article the author tries to make a better understanding of what they do in the religion of Hinduism.
Both of these articles have issues in where either the geography or the history of the Hindu religion is impacted by those that aren’t Hindu’s. And both of these articles show how many times Hinduism is misinterpreted.
I think that it would be very important for the children to know the real stories of their religion. If the children know the right stories, it can prevent things like this from happening in the future.
I think that the religions should first of all stay apart from eachother, and then that violence will not happen. Teaching their children their original and true religion is a big deal though. That will keep their religion going with the truth.
I think that it was very wise of the scientists to fast or go on hunger strikes to save the river, instead of taking a violent approach. It proves that you can solve problems without resorting to violence. About the second article I don’t really understand why all of the people are being murdered. Is it because Hindu people fasely recored part of their history?
I think that the children should know the real stories of their religion but also learn from their text books. they need to teach their children their original true stories. if the children know their real life stories than that can help them in the future.
I think that the kids should learn about the religion if parents dont want their kids to know their real religion then they shouldnt
The only reason there is aggression is because of the Hindu history being misinterpreted by other faiths right?, and they want people to know the real history so there is no more fighting.
